Wow! Damn, today was exciting... There was a pretty massive kitchen fire in the house i'm staying in, and there was a whole lot of noxious black burnt plastic smoke through which I had to blindly navigate my (nearly naked) self downstairs. Very scary. No working smoke detectors in the whole house, which is shocking. There were 4 of us home at the time, and luckily we got out without injury. I feel a little woozy, maybe from the smoke, but mostly from the crazy freakout adrenaline. Yikes. We're wiping down the black walls of the kitchen, trying to make some sort of dent in the cleanup. Bleah! That'd be my first fire experience, and it sucked.

Burnt plastic smoke? That be the chlorine gas. Not suitable for breathing.

Re:
Yea. I know that. It wasn't all plastic, some of it was paint, some of it was burning grease, some of it was whatever else was over the stove.

And last night I barely slept and the girl sharing my room kept waking me up because I was snoring. Everything stinks of the burnt icky smell.

So what was Pippi cooking? Was she making tea?

She's not allowed to use our stove anymore.
