Halfway mark

I went off and did laundry at this cool kind of laundry cafe called Wired Wash. Ate a mediocre Saturn Cafe hippy lunch and played some battleship on my handspring, deposited the rent checks and went to the tile and marble outlet place to pick out tile for the bathroom renovations. Picked out a really nice rustic-looking blue grey tile and darker, Delft blue accent and border pieces. I always go for blue. Hopefully it won't wind up being entirely too soul-crushingly dark and oppressive.

THRILL to my exciting TILE ADVENTURES!

When I got home, I peeked in to see how the demolition was going and was shocked to see that the entire bathroom had been reduced to rubble! Hooray! I took several photos and asked the contractor if it had been a cathartic release for him.

It's pretty hot today. Blech. But kind of nice, too.

Yo, I wish you'd been around when whoever was decorating my bathroom was picking out tile. Washed out peachy yellow. EEEWWWWWWWW. I'd also rather have a hip landlord than some stodgy elderly bastard who raises the rent without notice, doesn't fix things, and allows kids but not cats. Sheesh! There is the vaguest of chances that I'll be in San Fran at some point this fall. We should meet and have a Vitamin Water and bond over pink hair dye.

Re:
He nodded solemnly and said "Yeah, whew, Yeah." and asked a lot of questions about how old the house is, and stuff like that.

And then he went home and looked up "cathartic".
