April Showers bring Super Powers!

Okay so it isn't really raining. This is going to be one of those "today I did this and then this happened" kind of entries.

Today: I woke from strange dreams about a giant prehistoric whale fossil roadside attraction. Joel had already gone to shower and ready himself for work, so I had that strange first-thing-in-the-morning sensation of not knowing what time it is, confusedly wondering where the hell he'd gone. I got over it fairly quickly though, and as I was still waking up, Archie came by asking if I wanted coffee and a bagel from the cafe next door. Hell yes, I said!

The bagel was tasty. While I chewed and caffeinated, Archie and I talked about phenomenology, and so we spent a while discussing things like All Your Base Are Belong To Us and the YATTA animation. He described the memetic powers of the internet as somehow equal to a million school playgrounds.

After a while, my friend Niffer came over and we went out to grab a bite. We wound up going to the cafe next door (exotic!) and I had a really huge salad with some beets in it. Yum beets. As we were getting ready to leave, I realized that we'd been sitting next to my weird landlord, and that he was working on some sort of lengthy application with someone. Hmm! I also saw a guy I sort of knew through my ex boyfriend, he gave me a few brief glimmers of recognition but I couldn't think of a good reason to say hello. Eh.

By the time Niffer and I headed out to walk around the neighborhood looking at things, it was getting windy and foggy, and we were walking in to the cold and wind, so we cut across and went to the panhandle to climb on a tree and look at some dogs. Nice dogs. Someone there had a poo bag tied up in such a way that it looked like a big white rabbit in the middle of all these tussling, rowdy doggies. I took a picture.

We walked some more and went to this great piercing place, Braindrops, and we drooled at the pretty glass plugs and other shiny accoutrements for people with large gauge piercings. Nice. I might get some new doohickeys for my earlobes but I want to size up some more first. Then we headed back here so that she could pick up the stuff I gave her and my old TV set. It was cool hanging out with her, she's fun and silly and stuff.

I need to be around people more, it makes me feel better. I haven't had any nightmares for the past few nights, either!

Re:
It was pretty fun. And then I bought some fantastically overpriced Eric So vinyl action figures on eBay. I am so terrible.

WOW!! I am seriously digging that little cam rover dealie. I can imagine that the cats would completely freak out over it, and the footage would be priceless!

Those teensy tiny cars are pretty swank.

the tank is fun. You can play lasertag w/ 2 tanks. The cam is a separately working unit. It uses UHF ch.16. I have one of those little 2 inch TVs and I taped a mini mag light on top.

Your cats would freak, cause it's a bit loud. My Dog goes nuts! She wants to eat it. I'm trying to figure out a way to make a remote controlled grappling arm to put ontop. Now that would be cool!
