Unfortunately, the film never made its point. It sucked away about an hour and a half of my life leaving only a faint shimmer of revulsion behind. It wasn't shocking, or unflinching, or any of the other words I'd heard which prompted me to go see it in the first place, it was mostly just boring. The ending is pretty juicy though. The theatre had no heat, so maybe I hated this movie more because I was huddling under my coat like a pervert the entire time. Sometimes it's fun to hate things!
After the film let out we tromped through the streets sniffling and shivering until we found the Video Cafe and ate grilled cheese sandwiches and salads while we watched the Simpsons. Later, about 4 blocks further along, I saw three fairly colorful puddles of vomit surrounding a garbage can, and so I took a number of photographs, trying to brave the stinkies. Suffer for art! Viva la camera!
Hopefully our horrendous DSL issues will be cleared up in the next few days, but in the meantime, kicking it oldschool 56k is kind of elite.
