Art is what I do.

I snarfed this quiz from m0usegrrl, because we are art nerds.
Maly's drawing-tastic art survey
What is your favorite subject to draw? The human form, specifically female, I draw a lot of facial expressions.
What is your most common choice in 2-d media?Zebra japanese Brush ink pens ROCK!
Anything you refuse to draw? What? Why would someone "refuse" to draw something?
Real anatomy or cartoon physics?Closer to real anatomy.
Which is more important - solid inking skills or solid color theory?Solid skills is solid skills.
Photoshop or PSP? Illustrator or Painter?Photoshop, PAINTER. Wacom, baby.
Markers - Prismacolor or Tria?hmm. I have both, Tria always wind up drying out, and I lose one of the caps. I like markers but COPIC is king among them all.
Paints - oils, acrylics, or watercolors?Acrylics, and Acrylic Gouache
Have you ever done a stippling project outside of art class?Yes
Ever imitate a popular style of art? (anime, disney, comic book...)Postmodern? Hell yes!
How would you define your "style?"Expressionistic, Fauvist, illustration-esque?
What is one area of drawing that you need to improve in?Life drawing, and realism, drawing what I see rather than all that's in my head.
When did you start drawing as a hobby? (we all drew when we were little)It's hard to say, but I think it was around age 11.
What kind of sketchbook do you have? Brand? Size? How old is it?I have 3 or 4; One is a very large Pearl basic black one, way too big for my bag, and it's pretty old. I carry an almost full small Moleskine I started that one on April 30. I'm mostly drawing in my black basic Pearl 8X11 book, which I began April 19th.
How many sketchbooks have you had previous to this?Around, oh, 20? Less than 20.
How many sketchbooks do you go through in a year? This year has been a productive one, and i've been filling them up, but it all depends.
#2 yellow pencil or a clicky pencil?CLICKY because I don't need a sharpener, but I use nonstandard drawing pencils primarily.
What kind of eraser do you use?Eraser?
Who are your artistic influences?Photography, comics - I really like Love and Rockets and Eightball. I like illustrations from the 50's and 60's, old advertising. I really like a lot of romantic painters.
What books would you reccomend to aspiring artists?Basic Design - Art and Fear - Lots and lots of fairytales. Avoid art history until you're already jaded. Color theory is good, but tripped me up. Don't spend too much time questioning your intentions.
Do you have any favorite online tutorial sites? No? I never thought to look.
What is the most money you've ever made on one drawing / illustration / painting?$450
What do you hope to accomplish with your art? Do you want to go anywhere with it in life?Expressing a pure emotion. And I want to go everywhere.
Finally, why do you draw?I don't know how not to?

CREATE YOUR OWN!

She has a little gallery here:

(I hope she doesn't mind me linking this, but it's pretty easy to find since she posts links to her photo galleries constantly. :) )

I love her work, too.

Ok. Wow. I really intensely dig your collages. And the dead animal pictures are awesome, not to mention the illustrations. Definitely post-modern in the yummy synthesis sense. Just. Wow.

And I'm totally nabbing this quiz.

Unrelated: Sorry if I was a little much in asking you questions at that party last night. I was super tired and people-d out, and not having a very good time. Other than Fox and Xana who I can talk to any time, you were the only person really around that I know and like and stuff, so I was a little desperate to start some sort of conversation.

That was some party, huh?
Yeah, it wasn't really too personal, or anything. I was overwhelmed and feeling really uncentered, unhappy and insecure. It was really good that you and Fox and Xana were there because otherwise I might have scurried away or hidden in a corner, which is my nature sometimes...

That party was pretty awesome, had I been in a social mindset, or hornier, or knew people... hee.

I look forward to talking more in the future!! I'm better at carrying on conversations in smaller clusters. :D

You're hella intimidating, chiquita banana.

What makes me intimidating? I get that sometimes, and I'm always curious....
